We use Repti Sand for our Leopard Gecko, Repti Bark for our Box Turtle, and Care Fresh bedding on top of newspaper for our bunnies.

I used to have mice and we just used like pine bedding, it helped with the smell but it got gross to clean up. I heard that the fluffy/chunky/soft bedding (i'm not sure what its called) is easy to clean up and it absorbs the smell pretty quickly.

I have a hermit crab and we have rocks on one half and sand on the other. My hermit crab seems to like the rocks better.

We used to use the colored fluffy recycled paper stuff for our mice. Recently we watched some guinea pigs and they used pine bark and a very nice lavender scented bedding.
