Q: What tv channel do dogs like?

When i am not home i need to leave the tv on so my dog wont get lonely. He is a senior dog and he gets upset when we arent home with him, because he uses the bathroom everywhere and goes crazy.

We leave animal planet on,they love it,even try to get INTO the tv to play w the animals!!!

somthing with lots of talking it will make your dog feel as if somone was in the house.Also try leaving the radio on, nothing to "extreme" because your dog could get nervous and barky if it is to high-piched or loud.

You could also try using a baby gate to contain him in a certain area like the kitchen or mud room when youre not home. My dog would pee everywhere when we left and by doing this he has stopped. He has food, water, chews, and his bed in the room and because we use a gate and dont close the door, he doesnt feel locked in.

whatever you would watch when you're home. familiar sounds and images connected to you are whats soothing to your dog when you're not around.

Do you get any music channels? I've read in several dog books that classical music is very soothing to dogs. If you don't get music channels you could trying setting a radio to a classical music station.
