I had a couple dogs who have been poop eaters and it is just gross.

I tried the Aedoff's meat tenderizer and it worked for one but not the other two.

I tried forbid from the vet and did not work.

I tried potty mouth and it worked for one of my dogs. It is a pill you give.

For the three one, I switched up their food to a more natural food, gave vitamins and it stopped.

Good is food is very important. Make sure to read the ingredients. Yes, you will pay more for the food, but if it is a good quality, you will find you are feeding less than before.

Years ago I adopted a 12 yrs old German Shepherd that had been left chained in a yard and neglected and starved. I noticed when I got her home she would do this. I took her to the vet for her exam and told him about this issue. The vet informed me that there are many reasons a dog will do this including but not limited to survival, vitamin dif., etc. My vet gave me a pill to give her to make her poop unapealing to her. It worked but I cannot remember the name of it, it was so long ago. I recomend you ask your vet about it. Your dog may need to be tested to see if something is lacking in it's diet or if it is just a behavorial issue. Your vet will then recomend the right course of action for your dog.

I solved the problem by switching to a better grade of dog food. Many dog foods are processed less than 50 percent by the dogs digestive system. Pedigree/Science Diet/Eukanuba, and a few others are processed more thoroughly. Dog food that is only partially processed will seem like a food source. Doesn't work with all dogs, but worked with my two.

Order this combo:
Seaweed Powder & Intenzyme Forte (enzyme supplement)
From Marina Zacharia-website is called 'Natural Rearing'
This is a more common issue than people realize and there are many possible reasons
boredom, poor quality foods, fear of reprimanding (for pooping in wrong spot), the list goes on and on depending on who you ask but enter a search for her website name and look for her name and you will find her site. I never have luck posting website addresses on zootoo, sorry. Good Luck. This combo works for my 2 dogs, try it & see if it works for you :)
