Montana's legislature meets every two years in the odd numbered year, so we're looking forward to this January's session. A couple of bills about to be introduced are one that increases penalties for any kind of animal abuse (MT ranks in the bottom 20% for these fines)and one that adds the definition of "companion animal hoarder" to an existing law's definitions of cruelty. Last session a hoarding bill passed handily in one house but failed in the other. If it passes this time, I think that'll make Montana only the third state that specifically addresses hoarding(Illinois and Hawaii being the other two).

Massachusetts finally has to stop greyhound racing, nice to see that the question could have been easily forgotten with the importance of this election, but people still took the time to read the question.

Well living in California Prop 2 passed which was the more humane care for farm animals. More specifically this measure will now have better conditions for gestation pigs, calves for veal, and chickens to be able to have bigger cages to move around. That's the gist of it. I think it past in a landslide. I'm not sure if you're asking just about animals. Let's see prop 8 passed banning gay marriages, prop 4 didn't pass which had to do with abortion limits and notifying minors family members and such. Those are the ones I remember. Where are you and what happened there?
