Q: What kind of cat litter do zootooers use?
There are so many different types of litter that can be used. Sand type litter to pellets & newspaper types., lightly scented to non-scented.
Just curious of the type used and why....
And does your cat seem to have a preference?

I use the Special Kitty Scoopable type--it is relatively inexpensive and clumps fairly well. I do occasionally buy Tidy Cat Multi-Cat Scoopable and other brands when they are on sale, but I continue to buy the Special Kitty Scoopable in bulk. With 6 cats, I use a lot of kitty litter!
I don't think my cats really care what type of scoopable litter I use, as long as I keep the boxes clean. But I do think they prefer the scoopable type over standard clay or whatever.

Arm & Hammer scoopable is our favorite but will try others on special. Going to back again to try Nature's Pine because it seems so much more environmentally sound. Luckily my 3 adapt easily. When you have multiple boxes it's easy to experiment.

I use the new Breeze litter system. Its great. has a place on the bottom for a pee pad, uses pellets, the pee goes through slits in the top compartment, but the pellets cant fall through. The litter and pads are a little more expensive, but you only have to completely change the litter once a month and the pads once a week. Much less odor and dust than with regular litter.
