I want to try Glucoamine, Asprin and using the heating pad and see if it gives Gismo any relief. Can anyone tell me the the dosage for both the glucosamine and asprin, he weighs between 18-20 pounds. Thanks

Instead of asprin I would use ascriptin, which is a buffered asprin, especially with his tummy troubles. I would ask the vet for dosage though. Max takes two, but he weighs a LOT more than Giz.

You should never diagnose a person or a pet yourself you should take them to the doctor or the vet they have a much better chance and by giving human medication to a pet you could easily kill them even without overdosing on it. When Skitters got really sick one year we went to the vet there was a bone stuck in her throat and I stayed giving medicine and a liquid diet to her every hour the first couple of nights and the other option had been to put her down I think the right desicion was made cause she got healthy again and she thanks me for it every day with her love. If you are not truely dedicaited and do not really love your animal I believe that that is when you choose to give them your own diagnosis unless you yourself are a vetrenairian.

I think calling the vet would be a good idea because I've tried finding dosages online before and different websites said different amounts and the weights were different so I just gave up and it was a question the vet could answer over the phone without a visit.

i don't know offhand but I'll bet you can get some of that information on the internet. Or you could call the vet and they might be able to tell you the correct dosage. I've found most of my guinea pig dosing by looking online.
