If you're looking for a good stain remover/fighter - then we have found that Spot Shot (the canned version, not so much the pump) works the best....we've tried them all. You can find it at most grocery stores and even Home Depot carries it. It is worth a try!

I use Nature's Miracleand it seems to work the best for Pee and other Dog messes. Because Nature's miracle has Enzymes in it, it helps to get rid of the smell not just the stain. You can find Nature's Miracle at Petco and most Pet stores

Nature's Miracle and Oxy clean work well, but I think that pure white vinegar sprayed on the area works well. The smell of vinegar goes away in about 15 minutes.

For a rug, spray and let soak for a few minutes. Then put several paper towels and press to lift the vinegar. Pee smell goes away. Also, you can spray the corners of tables and furniture wiping clean after a few minutes.

Anything that is a non-bleaching and enzymatic cleaner should do the trick. It will literally eat the smells and stains so all that's left if clean carpet again.

I should really take my own advice on that, since I usually have to steam clean once a month from my pooch who pees when he's nervous.

Mandy, we have wall to wall carpet ( 3 rooms are off white, 2 are mauve, 1 is red & black) The only thing that I have found that works is oxy clean. I buy the powder, mix it in a bucket & use a brush to clean the spots, they come up super easy!

Typically, the best results I've seen are from the Nature's Miracle and Simple Solutions brands. I'm sure there are other good ones too, but just make sure whatever cleaner you use is enzymatic. That just means it uses enzymes to break down the smell to the dog. If you don't use this type then the stain might be gone, but the dog will still be able to smell it and might be attracted to go back.
