Q: What is a good type of horse for a first time horse owner?
I have never owned a horse before but in the future I would love to. I ride now and volunteer at a horse shelter and I am always at a local horse stable so I know how to handle and ride horses. I really would like to know your opinion. Thanks!

I would suggest a quarter horse or at least half. They have a good temperament and are good for beginners. I should know because i have had a horse and have been riding for 5 years! Hope this helps.

How about a horse from the shelter, you should know their personalities from working with them.

elthels ans was a great one. but if there is not one there if you can wait till the end of summer all the kid wuiet camp horses will be comming through the auctions. a lot of these horses will be being gought up by the kilers and you would be saving one of them
