Rabbits should get high quality pellets, timothy hay, and a serving of greens every day. The house rabbit society is an excellent resource for information on bunny foods and treats. www.oxbowhay.com is also a great place to find high quality foods, and good information on what is and is not safe. Starches are bad for bunny (pasta, bread, cereal - anything with processed sugars... which includes a lot of store bought treats). The starch turns into sugar, which can really disrupt the fermentation part of your bunnies digestive system. Too much can actually kill your pet! Fresh veggies and greens make a good treat. Avoid things that most people would say gives them gas though, like broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage etc. Bunnies cannot expel gas, but if you think your bunny may have gas, they can have 1/2 tablet of a gas ex (mine liked cherry), once in a while. Maurice loved baby carrots and apples(not too many, relatively high in sugar), cilantro is a bunny fav, he got lots of romaine and dandelion greens (as much as he could eat), and they like herbs like parsley. Get a few different things and see what he thinks! Do a little research with HRS and oxbow and your bunny will be very happy.
Raisins are a favorite of bunnies, but like with your other pets, it may be a good idea to avoid them due to the sugar and potential arsenic in them. A craisin once in a while wouldn't be terrible, just don't overdo it!
