Q: what do zoo keeper major in?

i know thatpeople who work at zoos usually go to college. and if so what do they major in and what are the salary for them and for senior zoo keeper.

Zoology, but some colleges have other programs that are for specifically zookeepers.

I looked into this at one time and you can actually get a degree in Zoology at certain colleges. i think that is where zoo's recruit from.

I would major in biology, possibly pre-vet. Some schools have animal behavior programs. I'd look into that.
I know that zookeepers don't usually tend to make a lot of money. It's a very rewarding position, and one that I would certainly get out of bed happily each day for, but from what I know, it doesn't pay all that well.
I guess it would depend on the particular zoo, the popularity of the zoo, and whether you were a basic animal keeper, or one of the managing keepers.
