I too am having a difficult time caring for 4 cats. I am unemployed at the moment and in between jobs. The last thing I would do is find them a new home - especially if they are no longer babies. It is very difficult to find an older pet a new home. They always come first! I will starve if I need to and bills I can put off I do. As long as I have rent paid, electic and heat. The rest my pets come first. You took on this responsibility when you got your pet - If you find him a new home, I suggest you should not be a pet owner in the future - this problem may come upon you again!

If your work keeps you from meeting your dog's needs, the right thing to do may be to rehome him. Only you can decide, but young dogs need a lot of time and attention. I suggest that you consider whether you can make any changes to better attend to him. For example, can you come home on a lunch break to spend some time with him? The whole rehoming thing is a lot easy to say than it is to do. It would be sad for you I'm sure. However, if you think your dog needs more than you can give right now, it is something to consider. Good Luck.

my boyfriend and I moved to LA with our 60 black lab and we went down there for a week to find a place and in LA it was almost impossible. the thought of not being able to take winnie with us was unbearable! but we did find an apartment that is very dog friendly, in a nice part of town and it was in our budget! it just took time to find :]

budget. buy less toys for you and him. going out and partying for ex. may be taking up too much time AS WELL AS too much money. stay home and hang out with your pooch instead of at the movies. ask your friends to come to your house instead of going out to bars. etc.

I think that you shouldn't get rid of your very cute dog. If you have parents, brothers, sisters, friends, or cousins, just send your dog there until you can afford it. Every day, if you can, stop by and see your beloved dog. Once you have gotten the money you need, bring your cutie home again and treat him a little bit with a bone. I hope I could help.
