I just talk about it with people and I still cry once in awhile. But the knowing that she's in a better place watching over me comforts me alot. You just need time to greive but you are always going to miss a dog who was your best friend.

Just remember the happy memories. If you feel the need to cry, then do. We all grieve differently. Maybe talk about your pet to a friend.

I think the anniversaries/birthdays are always hard. Some people find comfort in talking to others, looking at pictures, writing about their pet, things like that. Others do better just keeping busy with other things. Only you can really decide what will work best for you. I know there are people who will say 2 years is a long time and you should be over it, but it really isn't.
