Weimaraners come in many shades of gray. Their colors are actually dilute blacks and browns, so it's not uncommon to see cinnamon colored weimaraners. "The gray ghost" is a little misleading, since not all weimaraners are a pale ghostly gray. The two who live down my street are actually much darker, one being a charcoal. Their range is anything from those lighter "ghost" colors, to deeper tones of the same, or even brown or black. They can also have a darker stripe down their back called an "eel stripe" and their color will change with age, too.

There are cinnamon-colored weimies, but any color other than shades of mouse gray to silver gray isn't recognized by the AKC. Vislas are also cinnamon-colored and look like a smaller version of a weimy.
