Q: What can I give my Cat for diarrhea?
She's 12 years old, eats Science Diet and a little wet food occationally. This has been going on for a week now and I'm worried. It has never lasted this long when she's has it in the past. Thanks.

you should take her to the vet, it can be her thyroid, kidneys... they can give you meds that will be safe for her, she may also needs fluids to compensate for the diarrhea

I'm with Jill on this one! If this has been going on a week she very likely could be dehydrated which could be deadly for a 12 year old especially. You need to take her to the vet pronto!

First have your vet check her out. Older cats also sometimes have diarrhea due a lack of digestive enzymes and adding enzymes to her food may help. Diarrhea can be a symptom of many things and older cats are more likely to develop diabetes or kidney problems. Best bet is a thorough exam by a vet.
