Q: what can i do to help my new puppy stop being car sick? is there a medicine i can give him?
Thank You Everyone for your help and suggestions, my puppy has gotten over his car sickness, he now runs for the door whenever he hears the car keys rattle haha, and is the first one to the front door and in the car for a ride with momma. He now loves his car rides. He is such a character. Thank You all again.

My puppy used to throw up every time I pulled up to my parents house; I always thought it was because she knew she'd get more treats there... Seriously though, I had to stop giving her a lot of treats to coax her into the car and during the car ride to "make her less nervous." He'll probably grow out of it, but in the meantime, try to help him form positive associations with the car and car rides, take some short, slow rides around the block or even just sit with him in the car. Many dogs who are stressed out in cars will pant, pace, shake, or vomit.

My dog did that too for a pretty long time. To stop it, We made sure that the car was pretty cooled down, put some towels down and every day took her on a 5 minute ride. After a few weeks she stopped puking and started loving car rides. I think that it just takes some getting used too. :]

He might just need to get used to it, put him on an old towel or something, and some dogs like people suffer from car sickness, and they just can't help it.
