you can bring the dog into the bathroom with you when you take a shower to help any congestion

I would keep him warm and give him plenty of water.

I would suggest keeping him warm and put a humidifier into the room with him to keep his chest and repiration clear. Good luck. Get to the vet first thing Monday morning in that it could get worse and he is contagious to other animals.

We sometime give our dog benadryl when he doesn't feel food, like after he got fixed. It put him right to sleep. We just cut the pill in half and put the powder stuff on a dog treat. It doesn't hurt him at all.

Hi, when my dog is out side playing in the snow for to long she comes in and has a runny nose and sometimes sneezes. All I do is keep her in side where it is warm until her nose is not running. I only let her outside when she needs to go to the bathroom and only for five minutes. But it is just like you going out side, when you are out in the cold for a while you get a runny nose. So just use your best judgment and the best thing is to keep them warm. You could also put a jacket or sweater on your dog when they go out. We do that with our dogs.

Yes at least give your vet a call and give them the sypmtoms. Don't play around with the dogs health. Too many wierd viruses out there...
