I know there is a breed of dog like this but I don't know what it is called and I would like to know. This dog is entirely black is about the size of a basset hound it has a long body it has short legs it looks like a miniture newfoundland and it has curly spaniel ears does anyone know what breed of dog this is?

From your description it sounds like a mixed breed. If you're talking about a purebred there's really not enough info for an answer unless someone who is familiar with the breed happens upon this question and recognizes the description.
