I am picking up my kitten on Friday who just got spayed and declawed. What brand of litter is best to use for her?

If I remember correctly, you're not supposed to use scoopable or clay litter for a week or so after they come home. You should use shredded newspaper until the paws heal.

My very prissy cats both like scoop away's breeze litter system. They hate yesterday's news and shredded paper. It always looks clean to them and absorbs odors, plus they can't track it around.

My cats are very finicky so they didn't like the newspaper or yesterday's news. I really like Scoop Away's breeze litter system. They are more like pellets and it keeps my house and my cats' feet clean plus they love using it because it absorbs all the odors and it always looks clean to them.

shredded news paper will work if you have a shredder you can make your own. I have 5 cats and all have been declawed. After the 2 weeks you can use a scoopable litter.

My sister had her cat declawed and the vet recommended Yesterday's News cat litter for at least a couple of weeks after declawing. Then after that, you could go to the litter of your choice. Hope this helps and good luck!

It's not cheap but I find that it lasts longer, has almost no dust and clumps just as well as the other "clumping litter. It's called World's Best Cat Litter and it's made out of corn. I buy it at my local supermarket.

Our vet recommends Yesterday's News for at least2 weeks after a cat is declawed. After that we use Sam's clumping litter.
