What are good dog names for a Boy dog?
My parents and I just adopted a new puppy from a rescue organization. He comes home this saturday! We cant decide on a name we all like. Right now we are thinking about Yoshi Kona. (middle name being Kona) Yoshi was my Uncles hawaiian name who passed away this past summer, and Kona is a hawaiian name that we just liked..it means wind i believe.
However we're not sure if we are really satisfied with that name. Does anyone have any ideas? My mom wants something kind of different...but not too...weird....lol. can anyone help?

WHy don't you just name him Kona .. Yoshi Kona doesn't really sounds right .. If it were me and I liked those 2 names I'd either pick Yoshi or Kona but not both. Good Luck.

I do like people names but I would wait a day or so and see what the dog's personality dictates although I do like Yoshi Kona and who knows that new doggy might remind you of Yoshi.

I would pick a name that is different and original. It is definatly cool to look at names online. This is how I found a show name for my horse. Congrats on the new puppy and good luck finding a name!!!

Any famous man's name that you like, first or last. Like Winston. But the Hawaiian names sound good.

Some people like naming their dog(s) with 1 syllable name.
I don't stick with that rule too much.
It's very hard to name a pet.
Jasper, Chief,?
The best thing to do is to go to dog names on the computer and look up names that way.

my favorite dog name is Arnold, or should I say "Ahnald" after a certain Austrian bodybuilder.

Those names are good and also different. Eventually you'll settle on those, or maybe change one of them. There are tons of suggestions on the Web and in baby name books.
