Q: Were there pets on the U.S. Airway plane that crashed?
I was just wondering if anyone knew? I would hate to think about someone's poor pet drowning. I can't imagine knowing my pet was in a cage in cargo when I was trying to get out. Sends shivers up my spine more than the cold water would.

I certainly hope not. I think putting a pet in cargo is horrible anyway. The temperature is not regulated and it's very traumatic for an animal. They did a special on it once on some show like 20/20 - put a camera in the cage with a cat - it was terrible to see, I can't imagine how the poor animal felt.

I saw a interview with one of the scuba divers, ( I think we are all waiting to hear ..) and the reporter asked him, if there were any pets. and he didn't really say yes or no, just said that in any rescue their priority would be to get to the pets as soon as they could after the people are safe.

I have not read any reports of pets. And if there was any pets, with this pilot, they probably got out anyway.
