Shorty is overly Domanit he always has been and this is why he always picks on Teddy he is overly dominat and Teddy and Shorty have been living together for years last time he beat Teddy up it was really bad though and it is getting worse and worse Teddy is my cat I can't give her up and Shorty might be my foster cat but no one else has room for him to foster him and there is no way that I can keep them entirely seperated all the time so does anyone know how I can get Shorty to behave himself and leave Teddy alone or at least be nice to her? Skitters does protect Teddy from Shorty but I am afraid that Skitters may decide to hurt Shorty one day instead of just protecting Teddy from him so If anyone could help it would be greatly appericated?

Sometimes cats just don't get along & there's not a lot you can do about it. If you've tried all the things that have been suggested before when you brought this issue up, you may just have to accept the status quo. I have a foster cat that has to be kept separated from all the others. Deb also has one. Danis has had at least one. We've even had people on here who had cats who have lived together for years suddenly become aggressive toward the other one & have to live separately. It happens some times. You've got a situation where one of the cats is going to end up getting hurt, either by the other cat or by the dog. If Shorty is overly aggressive & getting worse, & you've already tried separating them & reintroducing them slowly & all the other things that have been suggested including getting a vet check to make sure there's not a health issue involved, you're either going to have to find a way to keep them separated or maybe find a new foster for Shorty...one without other cats. If you haven't tried everything, go out to Roz's blog about her cats, Gabe & Buster, & read everyone's suggestions. There are also many follow-up blogs with more info & suggestions so you might want to follow that entire line of blogs. www.zootoo.com/profile/Rozz/blog/entry/urgentpleasehelpwithbustergabe
