I can't find the website the dog bowl.com is that the right wording?
Veggies are good for the dogs. Especially overweight dogs. I spoke to the vet yesterday about this.

I have feed the BARF or raw diet for over 10 years now and yes veggies can be good for your dog. They need to be taken down to atleast a pinhead size for your dog to be able to get the benefits they should from them, because of the short lenght of a dogs intestine. I use a blender, juicer, or a food processor to make a big batch of veggies at one time a then freeze in serving size. Sometime health food store give away the pulp from the juicers. I recommend you read Reigning Cats and Dogs by Pat Mckay and BARF ( bones and raw foods) by Ian Billighurst
Both will answer alot of your questions. My dogs have never been healthier, since I switched to raw. So any fresh foods you add to your dogs diet should be helpful.

I agree that you should consult with a vet ... certain vegetables are GREAT for your dogs & others are very dangerous - you just have to make sure which ones are which - i know some but not all so it would just take a few minutes to call up your vet... im sure you can also find it online

Ask your vet first but mine eat fruits and veggies all the time. There are a few exceptions. Do not feed onions, macadamia nuts, mushrooms, grapes or raisins none of these are healthy for dogs and can cause serious problems. There is a web site that gives this info, go to The Dog Bowl.com it has a lot of info on raw diets, dog food etc. scroll down to Poisons & Toxins and click, lots of reading but it has good info on what foods are bad and what it does to your pet.

I would definately consult with a veterinarian. Most vegetables are good for dogs and foods usually are not poisonous to dogs unless fed in large quantities.

Veggies are good and fine for dogs! Majority of dog foods are full of vegetable matter anyway. And if they like them thats great. I've given tomatoes, green beans etc mixed in with my dogs food before just as a little extra treat. They even like peeled apple slices.<<-- helps with a slight cleaning of teeth too. As long as you don't see a change for the worse in digestion, diet and stools I wouldn't be too concerned. Some veggies can increase gas in dogs and may cause tummy aches and some smelly ..well ya know.. :)

discuss it with your vet before feeding your dog anything.
