Q: veggies
my dogs love fresh vegetables, all kinds they don't like them cooked, i was just wondering if eating fresh veggies is good for them. their favorite is string beans, broccoli, and asparagus just to name a few.

I agree that you should consult with a vet ... certain vegetables are GREAT for your dogs & others are very dangerous - you just have to make sure which ones are which - i know some but not all so it would just take a few minutes to call up your vet... im sure you can also find it online

I have feed the BARF or raw diet for over 10 years now and yes veggies can be good for your dog. They need to be taken down to atleast a pinhead size for your dog to be able to get the benefits they should from them, because of the short lenght of a dogs intestine. I use a blender, juicer, or a food processor to make a big batch of veggies at one time a then freeze in serving size. Sometime health food store give away the pulp from the juicers. I recommend you read Reigning Cats and Dogs by Pat Mckay and BARF ( bones and raw foods) by Ian Billighurst
Both will answer alot of your questions. My dogs have never been healthier, since I switched to raw. So any fresh foods you add to your dogs diet should be helpful.

I can't find the website the dog bowl.com is that the right wording?
Veggies are good for the dogs. Especially overweight dogs. I spoke to the vet yesterday about this.
