These aren't really biscuits, but the shelter dogs love them..

Peanut Butter Treats
This is just a variation on a seitan recipe I've used in the past. If you've never made seitan before you can find videos online to get an idea of what the texture should be.

Ingredients:
Mix the following in a big bowl:
3 C vital wheat gluten
1 C nutritional yeast
1/2 Tbsp vegetarian beef powder (I get it from the bulk spice section at Whole Foods--but you can also omit it if you'd prefer)

In another bowl, mix the following:
1/2 C soy sauce/tamari
1 3/4 C water
1/3 C peanut butter (I always use the natural stuff, with nothing added)
2 Tbsp oil

Directions:
Mix all the dry ingredients together in a bowl. Mix the wet together in a different bowl. Pour the wet in with the dry and mix it all up until it sticks together. Knead it until you can't see any more wheat gluten flour (about 5 minutes). You should be able to stretch it and see strings of gluten, but no powder. The texture should be damp, but not wet or sticky. You may have to add more gluten or water to get texture right.

Tear the seitan into 4-5 pieces and put them in a pan on the stove. I put water in the pan to fill it almost halfway up the seitan pieces, and then add a dash of soy sauce to the water. Then I cover and cook the seitan at medium-low for about 45-60 mins. I normally have to add more water a couple of times. You don't want the seitan to brown and I've also found that the dogs like it better if it's soft, not crispy. You should also flip it a couple of times. Once your seitan is cooked you can chop it up. I normally freeze it in ziplock bags that I can then take to the shelter.

I don't actually have a recipe but if you take any dog bisquit recipe and use egg, milk and meat substitutes, it should work. My daughter is a vegan and it's amazing what I can cook for her that tastes good by just omitting the dairy, eggs and meat products and using substitutes. I'm sure if dogs systems are suited for soy etc. but taste wise it works.

My dog Abacus likes a the meals that I cook from here. He seems to adjust well to it and it works well to keep him full too. I recommended them 100 percent www.vegepet.com/vdoginstr.pdf
