Q: Teddy And Plastic?

Teddy is my cat and all of her life she has enjoyed trying to eat plastic bags, ribbons and anything else that is made out of what plastic bags are made out of and what ribbons are made out of such as plastic wrap that goes over food. This is a really bad habbit and she is too old to have to panic in a carrier to the vet's office and have her stomach pumped or put on a pill that will make her throw it up if she swallows any. There was a time a couple weeks ago where she actually had the plastic ribbon half way down her throat when I finally caught her I pulled it out and the ribbon was still whole in one piece. So I was wondering how do I get her to stop this?

Cats are attracted to certain things, like the ones you mentioned. I don't know if there is a way to get the cat to stop "playing" or eating such things other than keeping those items out of the cat's reach. That is, you need to "cat proof" your home!
