Q: "stick vacuum" that sucks up pet hair well?
we're about to move into a house that has all hard floors. yay! our vacuum cleaner, however, is an old, clunky canister type, and we don't seem to have a hard floor attachment to go with it, so it's about to become pretty much useless to us. since carpet will no longer be an issue, i'd love to get a nice, compact little "stick vacuum" / "electric broom", but it absolutely MUST be good at picking up pet hair or it will be pretty useless to us. does anyone know of a stick-type vacuum that's particularly good at sucking up pet hair?

I'm not sure what a "stick-type" vacuum is but I have an upright that works wonderfully. I have the Bissel Pet Hair Eraser and it works great. I actually have thick shag area rugs, hard wood floors and tile and it works great on all of them. We have 5 cats and a dog and it contents with all the fur. It even has a great attachment called the pet prospin brush that works great for curtains, the bed and furniture. It actually sucks out the fur that is "weaved" into the fabric. It doesn't do great sucking up ALOT of cat litter off the tile but if its a small amount like less then a hand full its fine. I also love the HEPA filters and the fact that its bagless.
