My dog daisy had two days of soft stools (no form and kinda of pudding like) that were a very large volume with a little blood and a lot of mucous. The third day she was back to normal. This morning I got up and she had an accident in the house (never has done that before even as a puppy!) and it was soft and mucous covered again. I tool a stool sample to the vet this morning and she has an appt Fri afternoon. Any ideas what could be causing this? I think (hope) it might be parasites and not something more serious.

to me, it sounds like an infection. which can be caused from parasites, but not always. if it's more greasy than mucusy, it's more likely to be colitis.
