I have a goldfish and am thinking about buying an electric fish feeder but am worried it might work wrong or not work at all. So should I buy an electric fish feeder?

I bought a battery operated fish feeder last year when I went on vacation, and I continue to use it. It's one less thing I have to worry about, and it prevents my 6 year old from over feeding!

Is it really that hard to feed them yourself every day, or are you more worried about weekends if you travel a lot and won't be home to feed them? Otherwise I just don't see how it would really be useful, seems like it would cost a lot to do something that would take you five seconds to do yourself.

Why would you get an electric feeder for a goldfish, I really don't see the need for a fish feeder for anyone unless they are going on vacation, it isn't very time consuming.
