Q: should get a newpet after two have died?

recently i lost two mice. one i had for about a year and one for about a month. was this natural for them to die so soon? also, should i get a new pet soon?

mice don't really live very long. if you are still mourning their loss maybe you should wait a bit. i am sorry you lost them

Absolutely! But you don't have to do it until you're ready. But I'm sure that your mice would want you to help other pets. :)

oh and by the way when you get your next pet DO YOUR HOMEWORK! its vary important to fully resarch the next pet you get no matter what kind it is.

Mice have a sadly short lifespan, as I have experienced in the past. I have had a mouse live for two years and another for three weeks. It all depends on the age, health, and care of the mouse when you adopt them. Since you just lost your pets, I would suggest waiting a little while to research all of the pets that will work for you. There are many wonderful animals out there but it's best to take some time to decide which is best for you. If you're looking for a small pet, don't forget to look on Petfinder.com, many people aren't aware that you can find those types of pets in shelters. Good Luck and sorry for your loss.

You know best when you're ready. I've usually adopted another one when I've seen one that I know I really want. It helps reduce some of the sadness.
