It is getting hot here and it is very expensive for air conditioning so we use a fan. I am concerned for the hamster. He doesn't seem to be loosing hair, but he does appear to be sweaty. Is that possible?

If you want to keep your hamster cool in summer...fill a regular human water bottle with water, put it in the freezer until it freezes, and then set it in the cage (perhaps wrap it in a cloth first), you hamster can stay near it to cool off it he is getting too warm! Just make sure to change it out regularly with other frozen bottles (or maybe refreeze it every night and put it in the cage every morning)
