I need to get new pictures of my shepherd and of my pit. I would like to get one of them together but they wrestle and play and will never sit still long enough for me to snap a shot. any ideas on how to keep them still of the fraction of a second it takes to take a picture? lol

Take them on a long walk or to the dog park and let them wear themselves out, when you feel they are tired then try the pictures. It works for our dogs.

Brenda;s suggestion is great. Also, try getting their attention with a biscuit. They may just pause long enough for you to take a pic!

after a long walk, ask them to sit and stay {provided you've taught them that}. it's easier when you have two people to photograph dogs. one person to say the commands, insist the dogs hold their stance, and keep their attention directed at the camera {using hand movement, toys, or treats} and another person to shoot and click.
