Q: raising money?

My little sister wants to ask for money for her birthday. She wants to give it to an animal shelter. I think this is a great and selfless idea, but i still think she should at least work for the cause, to show that she did something. We did have one girl in out neighborhood who did this, but for her own 3 cats, so i was unsure. My sister is only 9. Any tips that can help us?

This kid has a great start. If there is a concern of asking for money, ask for a "donation" directly to the shelter instead.

Lets see here! It is her birthday. And she wants to do something very unselfishly for animals that cannot ask for funds to care for them selves. You should be hugging her and wishing her great success. She is definitely a fine young lady. And you have every reason to be proud of her.

she has a big heart shelters need donations like money sometimes its easier to donate money or a gift card this way the shelter can buy what they need you could call the shelter and see what they need like bleach litter soap paper towels and maybe even ask where a good place to get a gift certificate and they might even give them a tour for her bday and let them play w/ the animals I hope when my daughter is old enough she would do the same
