My rabbit likes to run around on my lani and today i saw her sneak a bit of the low hanging fern plant. i moved her before she could really get a lot but just wondering, could the plant be harmful if she injested some? Ive had my rabbit for a year now and have read all the books and know all about rabbit care, this fern was one on my fenced porch growing in a pot so it is not poisinous.

Yes, it COULD be, but you didn't mention what type of fern.

When I had a rabbit, I read as much as I could about rabbits, and one of the first things I ran across was to be sure to carefully watch your rabbit and to NOT assume that your rabbit knows what is or is not poisonous. Those "free" romps in the yard could be quite hazardous.

I'm not sure what these are, but Jimmy fern and Sprengeri are considered poisonous to rabbits. There may be other types, but I don't know what they are.
