Q: Puppy removes collar: Update

My collie puppy takes the collar off of my female by pulling it over her head. It's really starting to annoy me. Bitter spray was shockingly ineffective. Any ideas from other skinny-headed (greyhound, doxie) dog owners?

Update: Tried a martingale collar. Guy laughed at his mom's ineptitude as he removed it from Gracie's head. "Dear mom," he said, "I am smarter than your average dog. You cannot outsmart me. Silly human."
It seems that since he doesn't pull on the part that tightens, it slips off just as easily as her leather collar. (My sister was nice enough to loan me her Dalmatian's martingale collar for this experiment. So no harm done to my pocket book.)

what if you tried one of those harness's that have the ring for tags, then maybe when he realizes that's not coming off you can go back to the collar. It's a thought.

Harness and chocker collars. Harnes are being made in attactive designs and the cocker is great for training.
