Q: Prescription Pet Food Cost
November 6, 2010 | By Jan H. | 4 answers | Expired: 911 days ago
I have a pet that eats a prescription food. He's seven and has been eating it for about 2-1/2 years. It seems to work but is very expensive. I used to buy an 8-lb bag of dry food for $28. They stopped selling the 8-lb bag and now I have to buy the 6-lb bag for $34. A case of canned food costs $32. I don't believe it should cost that much. Does anyone know how to get prescription food cheaper? I hate to change since it seems to work for him. If he were a senior pet I wouldn't worry about it but I hope to have him with me for many more years.

What is the food for? Most of the prescription diet are total scams, I think Royal canin is slightly better then science diet, but not by much. If you ever look at the ingredients, they're just plain horrible, I wouldnt touch it with a 10 ft pole.
