I just rescued a McNab Border Collie in August, I think her last owner wasn't so kind to her. in the past 2 weeks she has started pooping in her cage every day. She has plenty of outside time, I let a couple of hours go by before I put her in her crate after I feed her. Is there anything I can do to stop this behavior.

Perhaps the crate is too big? It needs to be comfy, but too much space may invite this behavior. Check into that wiht your Vet or an animal trainer.

I would make sure that the crate is not to big. I would also make sure that she goes poop before you put her in the crate and that she has alot of outside time. Also praise her when she poops outside.

I had a friend go through a similar problem with a pup. They assumed the behavior was to rebel against being confined. Turned out to be a parasite. The poor dog just couldn't control it!
