Q: Point system

Why no points for commenting on someone's comments? We are taking the time to read it and perhaps learn something and/or give the writer some more info. And why am I wasting time writing another question. Well at least I am giving everyone else the opportunity to write an answer and get 4pts. Actually all you others who are asking questions are giving me an opportunity to answer and get some points. So I guess the point is moot. I am sure we are answering questions not JUST to get points right?

I don't believe any time spent reading and corresponding with people on here is a waste of time. I am not here for the points but to share stories and look for help in areas I am unfamiliar and share my experiences and knowledge with others.

if you are talking about commenting in journals there have never gotten points for that. if you are commenting one a news article go in make a comment and get out then go back and make another. you will still only get points for 5 news but they do seem to allow you to go back in and comment again. if you make 5 comments on an article it is counted as one but seperatly may be counted as that many. does that make any sence believe you will only get points for that time in and sicne news isa s

You make a good "point"! I occasionally browse random journal entries, and some are pretty good reading. I don't get why we can't earn points for one or two journal comments per day. There are far more journal entries than news stories on which to comment, and they'd probably elicit responses at least as thoughtful as many on the news stories.
