Q: petition
can I start a petiton to have 2% of our city taxes go to help our local animal shelters? i think we can do something for them since we all help welfare so much and other things? what do you think?

Some shelters are funded by tax dollars already. If the private ones take in tax dollars, then they have to become kill shelters usually, because of space issues.

wow thats a great idea, i never thought of that. That woud help so many animals
because our humane society even thought of closing down so think about all the other shelters

I think 1% would be more realistic but I'm all for it! At least our furry friends aren't illegal aliens getting our tax $. It's a shame the way the HS have to beg for donations and help sometimes.
