i've never heard of this site and as such can only suspect that it isn't as widely known. but you never know. all it takes is 1 person...the right person..."stumbling" in to find one of your fosters the perfect forever home.

interestingly, when i search the BBB's website, they *do* have a reliability report for Petfinder.com. Petfinder has a grade of B with very few complaints, all of which have been resolved. very good. there is no reliability report for Petango, which isn't necessarily a *bad* thing. there's just no information to be found.

I read an interesting opinion piece on petango - funnily enough, on stumbleupon - here's the link to the item:

www.stumbleupon.com/stumbler/sanmiko/tag/ripoff/

Petango itself is run by www.pethealthinc.com and pets are supplied by their shelter management software www.petpoint.com/

As of March 18th they reported "Total Animals in Inventory: 253,631" an impressive number - our feed from our petfinder partnership lists some 238,531 pets available for adoption at www.zootoo.com/adoption/

Petango / PetHealthInc are certainly very keen to take petfinder's place as the 'goto place for pet adoption'.
