Q: pet cremation

my cat is 17 yrs old and just found out she has cancer. I want to cremate her. But I can not find one close by I am near highland, Illinois Also how much does it cost?

I'm sorry about your cat. Cancer is always a devastating diagnosis. Being in Texas I can't help you with locating a crematorium, but most vets will have that info. You can also do an internet search for pet crematoriums in your area. They're not all created equally, so be sure to read reviews & see what others who have used their services say about them. As far as price, the one we use charges based on size of the pet. There are several different choices that affect price such as urn option & option of "green" cremation, which is a partitioned cremation, or a private individual cremation. Also, most crematoriums have a pick up service from your vet. Again, I am so sorry about your cat.
