Q: over weight dog

My dog is overwieght...All my neighbors feed her (treats...etc.) How do I get them to stop!!

Bring your neighbors a bag of mini carrots. Tell them to give those to your dog instead.

Sounds like you need to talk to them for a few minutes and explain the situation. They may not realize a few treats can put her off her daily caloric intake. I think speaking to them and telling them that she is on a diet because you want her to be healthier and happier should work with them. You could also have them trade treats for tricks, like interactive play, that can also help her battle with the bulge.

tell your friends they need to stop, (as i'm sur you have) but you need to do it firmly, because they are putting your dogs life at risk (as dramatic as it sounds it's true)

Definately get the neighbors to stop, because it could lead to further problems with the Dogs Health. You can also try to use playful toys to encourage a more active lifestyle.
