I've had one "Barkday" for my dog but I didn't invite other dogs. I really only did it for the kids. They were so excited to have a party for Vixen. I got party hats for everyone including Vixen and I also bought doggy ice cream. They have the doggy ice cream in the ice cream section at the grocery store especially for pets. I'd like to have a real party for her someday. It's cute.

Well - I had 2 parties for my dogs 1st birthday. One party was at my school for all the students and families - pot luck and donations and gifts went right to the Shelter near my school. It was very successful and they collected over $1500 and 2 SUV's of dog supplies. (I had 2 mothers handle everything about that)..... Then I had a small family/friends party...... I only invited 4-5 dogs and they played outside..... I had platters brought in from the supermarket for the people and had Freidas Favorites Dog Bakery make 1 dog cake which the dogs loved. I requested no presents - but did get a few. I made doggie bags for all dogs in attendance and doggie carob bars for everyone. I got the honey sweetened carob from a Natural Pet Store - made candy bars with them and then made a wrapper with Nicos picture on it and wrapped each candy bar..... everybody loved them and the dogs could have them too. I will download a picture of them for you to see....make sure you label them carob so nobody thinks its allright to give chocolate. Everyone loved the party and the dogs were able to run around the yard and then lied down while we ate. and they got cake and doggie ice cream afterwards.
Have a Great Doggie Birthday Party!

I would have my dogs party at my house, I would invite some of the dogs from the neighborhood so they could run around and play with each other. I would have a little kids pool out back, all kids of different toys, such as frisbees, balls, squeaky toys, etc. I wouldn't have any games so to speak, just let the dogs run around and tire themselves out. No gifts were allowed, you had to make a donation to the local Humane Society or Rescue Group. Goodie bags were made up of homemade dog treats in different shapes and sizes. Plus as a special treat for the owners I would get pictures of the dogs thru out the party and print them out and put them in a little picture frame with a magnet on the back to hang on your fridge. It was a lot of fun
