Someone told me that they are not digestible and that they are actually really bad for dogs. Has anyone ever heard that?

All my dogs use Nylabones and they are powerful chewers. They chew on them and one lasts forever; they have never eaten them. Maybe you need the harder type.

Nylabones are for chewing not for eating. They are a great toy for teething pups but once they start eating it is time to get rid of them. On the package it even says not edable.

They are good if your dog dosnt crew them. They are good for thir teeth and keep them busy. If the chew them up try harer ones or stop giving them. They will not digest so be carful.

Maybe the soft ones that they can actually eat, but I've been giving my dogs the hard one forever and they've all been fine.

Im not sure what nylabones bones are but I have heard that the rawhide bones are not good to feed everyday. I met a guy whose dog died because he fed them all the time and it built up in his stomach since it is not as easily digestible. askabreeder.com explained the dangers.

Depends on your dog's chewing style. Nylabones are OK if your dog just gnaws them. Mine are power-chewers and break off hunks that they then swallow and later vomit. If your dog just chews and doesn't destroy them, they should be all right.

In my experience, they're fine. Our dogs love them.

Nylabones are created for chewing, not gobbling and/or swallowing whole! I have also heard that they are non-digestible, but the filings (from chewing) pass through the dog's system -typically- uneventfully.

We give them to the dogs at the shelter! No problems so far.
