Purring can be good or bad. A loud sound will startle them and they will often purr. If they are ticklish, you might hear them purr. If another guinea pig is nearby, they purr and strut as a way of showing dominance. I usually look at their body language when they purr to see if they like what caused it or if they appear to be complaining.

Mine did it when she was happy, I used to giver her blueberries every night if not fresh a few defrosted ones, I would put a towel on my lap because the berries would make a mess when one she would fall asleep in my lap purring, I still give my dogs bluberies.

I have three guinea pigs. Purring means that they are happy and they are saying "I like this a lot". Keep doing what you are doing because Cookie is enjoying it a lot!

I assumeit's safe to say she is happy. A cat purrs when it is happy. As long as she doesn't flinch or turn like she is irritated.
