Q: Need Help with Fundraising Ideas

I'm on Student Council at my school (we're a vet tech school) and we're trying to come up with some school-wide fundraisers that are cheap and easy to do. So far we've come up with a (human) bake sale, and maybe even a doggy bake sale. We are also thinking about having a "dress down" day where if you pay $1 or something you can wear your own scrubs to school (we currently have "uniforms" each class has to wear) as well as getting some tshirts or hoodies made with our school's logo on it and selling them. Does anyone else have any ideas they can add to the list? Our school isn't very large right now; we're at about maybe 70+ students, give or take.

We are also getting involved with many pet-related events in our area and hopefully try to sell cute things like homemade doggy treats or bandannas at a booth, so any ideas on how to raise funds for stuco would be much appreciated! Thank you everyone, so much!

** This has also been posted on my journal, so if you would prefer to have a discussion there, feel free! **

Dress down days are always popular, providing you are dressed up to begin with. Something hard to find at many schools. <G> Getting to name an animal that is the "new school class mascot" may appeal to some. Wouldn't it be cool if you could set up some of that carnival equipment so that a dog or cat could try to dunk somebody famous locally for the donors. Like a radio jock or somebody? I'd use up all my coins just to see something like that. Or win a toy human for knocking down something like those ball or ring tossing carny games. Have a cute little furry fortune teller with a hidden mic. I know some of you must have some terriers just waiting to participate! Jack Russells maybe? <G>

Geez, I left out the horses, pot bellied pigs and parrots. I hope they aren't offended.

A raffle might be a good idea... also try a dog walking fund raiser, or even what we used to do for my marching band was a ROCKATHON where you'd stay up all night watching movies and such rocking in a rocking chair and people would SPONSOR you to do this. :) I hope you get some good ideas!
