My puppy apparently doesn't like collars; he constantly scratches at his collar. I have removed it for now because he was scratching so much his fur was coming out. He is now in a harness but he scratches at that too. Any advice to keep him from scratching would be appreciated.

No fleas or allergies and vet has given him a clear bill of health.

Remember a collar is a foreign object to them and something unusual against their body. Just like a horse the first time you put a blanket on them they normally try to shake it off.

My boys seldom wear collars in the house so when they see the collars coming out they know it's time to go for a ride/walk which thrills the devil out of them.

Take the puppy to the vet and make sure there is no other reason the puppy is scratching.

Some animals are collar sensitive. Sometimes you can start with just tying ribbon around their neck and playing with them or feeding treats when they don't scratch and then remove it. Just put the collar on when there is something fun to do at first and they will associate having fun and it won't bother them after awhile.
