Charlie is my neighbor's cat he is a maine coon he is really sweet he is healthy he just isn't fixed he gets along well with other cats and dogs. My neighbor's moved and left him behind I don't have the money to take in another cat at the moment and there is no room at the local rescue for him. Were can I take charlie in Longview, WA zip code 98632 other than the humane society?

There is one rescue group that I know of in Longview:
Rescued Paws
(360) 673-7373
rpaws@hotmail.com

I don't know if they'll be able to help or not...all their animals live in foster homes, so it will depend on if they have room. Most rescues are full, especially this time of year. Don't limit your search to just Longview. Do a search for the entire Washington area, even look out of state. Send emails to every group you can find that takes cats. Groups often have transports to get animals where they need to go. Just let them know the situation. Also, if Charlie is a purebred Maine Coon, look for purebred cat rescues. I think there's one in Seattle. I'm sure there are more too. Just do a Google search for "washington area cat rescues and shelters". Be sure to read their "about us" pages to make sure they're no-kill. You can find their contact info on their websites. A lot of groups, esp. the purebred rescues, cover large areas or have reps in various states so be sure to check that out.

I agree with the other answer. Search everywhere not just your city. I'm in STL, MO & I just helped transport some dogs here from Mississippi where its flooding. If you want to save the cat do the leg work and start binging and googling cat rescues. Contact every one you find. Tell them he's been abandoned, he's unaltered, no one can take care of him, don't leave anything out. If you can offer any kind of donation or help in any way that sweetens the pot too.
