After putting Frontline on this past Tuesday, I see no difference, plus the fleas have begun biting us! Does Frontline always work? What else can we do?

As long as your cats go outdoors, it will be a problem. You can control the fleas with insecticides, but they may still bring some home. You might think about keeping them indoors during the hot summer months. Fleas like it hot and humid- that's when they breed.

Good luck!

fleas can become immune, but you'll want to wait another 3-4 weeks before dosing them w/advantage. even a light flea shampoo can cause problems while they're still dosed under another product.
get some brewers yeast and mix 1/4th of a cup in a quart of water. put that in a spray bottle and squirt them down, comb this into their fur. this will control the fleas until they're ready to be dosed again.

I prefer Advantage as well. It kills the fleas quicker than Frontline. Right now you probably shouldn't double dose your cats. If your cats were indoors, you need to bomb, spray, or use any other method to ensure that the fleas are not in your house. Otherwise, fleas will continue to be a problem. If you are not comfortable with bathing your cat with a shampoo that will get rid of the fleas, you might want to find a groomer that has experience working with cats. If you use a flea collar as recommended by ches21, just keep an eye out to make sure that you are not noticing any skin irritation around the neck. Good luck!

I would say go to the vet. Also frontline is a very good product but I had the same problem with my dog Skitters we put it on her and the fleas did not go away everyone on here said that the fleas probably had become amune to the product and to try something else such as advantage. Also if your cats like the water give them a bath and put flea collars on them too. this is what my dad does with his cat Tickles she is an outdoor indoor cat and it seems to work with her.
