Q: My Siamese randomly started biting me...???
So I adopted a Siamese cat... more like she adopted my front porch and I started feeding her. A few months ago I brought her inside. I took her to the vet, got her shots up to date, etc. She was aged at 5 years old and in fine health.
So she's been with us (my boyfriend and I) for almost half a year now. Just this month the issue in question has started. She will crawl up next to me, sniff my arm, and bite it. Not sure if its related, but recently my boyfriend has become her best friend, and he constantly pets her. I thought maybe she was just trying to get my attention to pet her, but literally 10 minutes ago I was petting her and she went out of her way to sniff, and bite my arm. I have read that she may just be saying "Ok I don't want to be pet anymore" but usually I am not petting her and she comes up to me and does this.
Anyone know whats going on??

Are they truly "bites" or more like "nibbles"? Some of my cats will do the same on occasion. They apparently aren't meant to hurt me. It seems more like the cats get so into me that "nibbling" is the only thing they can think of doing to show their affection (not hatred)! Maybe it is just to get your attention?

what happens after she bites? does she run off or stare at you w/her tail flapping? or does she seem calm?
if it's the former, you'll want to hold your ground and make direct eye contact, then distract her w/a toy or your boyfriend or something.
if it's the latter, say "no" and gently pick her up and set her on the floor. repeat every time and she'll stop.
