my puppie don't have good appetite recently, what should I do?

My 6 mo. old cocklier recently don't have appetite, everynight I feed her dryfood wix with some apple, but she only eat the apple and little bit dry food. the next day that dry food still there, at night I still feed her apple and add little more dry food. it's the same these weeks, sometime I even hear her stomach that hungry sound, should I change other kind of dry food, or mix with some can food? Can somebody help me?

I totally agree. I don't have a dog but a cat and there are some cat foods she wont eat. So i just try different kinds and add soft can food with it. I remember which ones she won't eat. Plus i think animals like a variety just like we do.

You should take her to the vet.

Also try wet food mixed in with dry food (mix it a lot so she eats more dry food).

You could try adding some wet food to the dry.....canned food is always appertizing. But I tend to remember something from when my kids are little and didn't feel like eating...the pediatrician said, "Kids are like race cars, when they need fuel, they will take it!"....if this continues maybe you should consider taking her to a vet for a check up......but remember she is a puppy, they have growth spurts, and when it is over they drop down how much they eat at one sitting. Also consider leaving her food out so she can graze, ya know, eat little bits frequently...best of luck

You may want to check with your vet to make sure there are no health problems. Some dogs are picky eaters. I would try feeding her a little bit of wet food several times a day. Then mix it with dry food and slowly decrease the wet food until you are just giving her dry food. This worked for our dog. When we adopted him 4 years ago he was very fat, but refused to eat dog food. Now we give him his dry food in the morning and he just nibbles a little bit all day long. There is usually a little left the next morning, but since he is healthy and not underweight (he is still a little chubby), I am not concerned.

Some dogs get a taste of table scraps and just are waiting for more. My little dogs do the same thing. Try mixing a little can food in with the dry!

My dog was like that too, she wouldn't eat more than a few bites. I put some carrots in her food or sometimes chicken and mixed it real good so the flavor would get to all the dry food and she ate it all. I kept changing her food until I found the one she liked and now I don't have the need to add anything to it.

When I fist brought my dog, Piper, home from the shelter she barely ate at all. I went trhough three different brands of foods before I finally figured out what she liked best. Then, even though she would eat a few bites, she wouldn't eat as much as a normal dog. And she's a lab - they eat everything! The solution, I found, was to add some water to the food so that the consistency changed. That gradually evolved to me adding VitaGravy (sold at pet food stores), chicken or beef broth, or wet dog food to the kibble to get her to eat it. Now she scarfs it down and loves it!! Hope that helps you!!Good luck.

In my opinion is is best to get her away from humane food. I would use a little canned food mixed with her dry for a little while then move her to just dry food. You might think she is starving, but she will eat. She might go a day or 2 tring to bluff you but she will eat.

It is often normal for dogs ~ small especially ~ not to eat the same amount everyday.
Dogs will eat less if there is alot of activity in your household to distract them the important thing is if she acts happy and healthy don't worry about this behavior.
